I am a candidate for a master's degree in history from Clemson University as well as an Instructor at Clemson University. I am also a lawyer, writer, author, lecturer, real estate investor, and most importantly, a husband and father. Most of my work has been in Balkan History. We have lived in Greece, the UK, and Serbia and I worked for a summer in Bulgaria. I also worked in Chile and studied German in Germany.

My undergraduate degree was in Western and Eastern European studies at Georgetown University, with a semester at Budapest University of Economics. Recently, I experienced what I call a "Maritime Shift"; my family's background in the merchant marine (I am the son of a son of a sailor, and the nephew and cousin of sailors) has resurfaced, and I am planning to focus my thesis work on the Greek Merchant Marine, with special emphasis on my ancestral island, Hydra, Greece.
